Another rare personalized response. Like @celtamichel, I took a gamble on something that's kind of borderline YA. Comments were "opening pages didn't draw me in" (read: doesn't open on a slam-bang action beat) and she doesn't like that it has an adult narrator. So not particularly useful feedback, but it was a token of respect that I don't get all that much.

Polite and prompt rejection "with regrets" on 7/19/25
Agent represents YA, but I took a chance with my Adult/YA crossover fiction novel. It was worth a shot, especially since the agent is located in the midwest where my novel is set. Will likely query another agent in her company that represents Adult fiction.
