Is Paul's assistant the same as Luke Janklow's? I'm wondering if there's any point in querying Paul if I've already been rejected by Luke. The agency website is unclear on their policy here.

@Chels03: Not necessarily. Your submission may be in a "maybe" pile. Also, agents skip around. They talk to editors and hear what they're looking for, then search their submissions for keywords and themes that may fit their wishlist. Sometimes they are looking at specific genres. Or they may be using filters in Query Manager that sweep aside queries with keywords they don't want or word counts that are too high for the genre. Sometimes they wait for a nudge on an offer of rep.
